Title:
ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE BODY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6157945
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body which can be easily produced and has high sensitivity by using a specific disazo compd. as a charge generating material.

CONSTITUTION: A photosensitive layer contg. the disazo pigment expressed by the formula as the charge generating material is provided on a conductive substrate. At least one of substd. or unsubstd. phenylene groups Ar1 and Ar2 is a substd. phenylene group and the residual coupler group A is contained at the terminal. The photosensitive layer 19 of the lamination type consisting of a charge generating layer 15 composed essentially of the disazo pigment 13 and a charge transfer layer 17 composed essentially of a charge transfer material is provided on a conductive substrate 11. The light subjected to image exposing transmits the charge transfer layer and arrives at the layer 15. The formation of the charge is induced by the disazo pigment 13 in said part. On the other hand, the layer 17 transfers the charge when subjected to the implanta tion of the charge. The formation of the charge necessary for light attenuation is executed by the disazo pigment 13 and the transfer of the charge is executed by the layer 17.
