PURPOSE: To prevent trailing of an image by filling recessed present on the disclosed surface of the uppermost layer on a conductive supporting body with fine hydrophobic particles.

CONSTITUTION: The recesses present on the disclosed surface 5 of the uppermost layer 4 treated to enhance hydrophobicness on the conductive supporting body 1 are filled with the fine hydrophobic particles, such as hydrophobic inorganic or organic powder having a specific resistivity of ≥1012Ω.cm, thus permitting products due to corona discharge to be made less liable to adhere to the surface 5 of the photosensitive body by the presence of fine roughness filled with the fine particles 6, and adsorption of water and moisture to be prevented by the hydrophobicness of the surface 5 and the fine particles 6, and consequently, trailing of an image to be effectively prevented.
