Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic toner for forming films that is suitable for forming films having biodegradability.SOLUTION: A low-molecular-weight resin containing polybutylene succinate as a main resin and having silica dispersed therein is added to an electrophotographic toner for forming films in an amount of 2 to 30 mass%. The amount of silica dispersed in the low-molecular-weight resin is 0.5 to 5 mass%. The average particle diameter of the toner is 9 to 50 μm. The weight average molecular weight of polybutylene succinate as the main resin is 10,000 to 250,000. The weight average molecular weight of the low-molecular-weight resin is 200 to 10,000. The average particle diameter of silica to be dispersed in the low-molecular-weight resin is 7 to 200 nm. Silica to be dispersed in the low-molecular-weight resin is provided with hydrophobicity.
