Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain electrophotographic transfer paper capable of printing with a color laser copier and a color laser printer and having a gloss close to that of a photograph of photographic printing paper not only in the blank part but also in an image part after transfer with a toner.
SOLUTION: Base paper having ≤1.5 μm center line average roughness (SRa) and ≤250 mV thickness unevenness index (Rpy) is coated with ≥5.0 g/m2 (expressed in terms of solid matter) aqueous emulsion of a copolymer, preferably a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer having ≥120°C MFT to obtain the objective electrophotographic transfer paper having ≥60% blank paper gloss of the coated surface.
