PURPOSE: To obtain an electrophotography where corona charge and toner development are unnecessary, by sticking a conductive coloring liquid to a paper while taking the place of an insulating liquid applied to the paper by the force of static electricity.
CONSTITUTION: An image 10 of an original 9 is projected to a photoconductive layer 2 consisting of zinc oxide or the like through a transparent electrode 1 to make the photoconductive layer 2 conductive selectively. When a voltage 8 is applied across an electrode plate 7 and the transparent electrode 1, a coloring conductive water 6 takes the place of an insulating liquid 5 only in the part, which is made conductive, of the photoconductive layer 2 and is moved toward a paper 3 covered with a hydrophilic polymer such as gelatin and is stuck to the paper 3, thus forming a negative image of the original 9.
