Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an electrostatic charge image developing toner with which high quality images can be maintained for a long time by incorporating a binder resin, specified long-chain alkyl compd. and azo iron complex compd.
CONSTITUTION: The toner contains a binder resin, a long-chain alkyl compd. expressed by formula I, II or III, and an azo iron complex compd. expressed by formula IV. In formula I, x is the average and is from 35 to 150. In formula II, x is the average and is from 35 to 150, z is the average and is from 1 to 5, and R is a hydrogen atom or 1-10C alkyl group. In formula III, y is the average and is from 35 to 150. In formula IV, X1, X2 are hydrogen atoms, lower alkyl groups, lower alkoxy groups, nitro groups, or the like, m, m' are integers 1 to 3, R1, R3 are hydrogen atoms, 1-18C alkyl groups, alkenyl groups, sulfonamide groups, methyl groups, or the like n, n' are integers 1 to 3, R2, R4 are hydrogen atoms or nitro groups, and A+ is a cation with 75-98mol% ammonium ion and the rest of hydrogen ion or the like.
