Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electrostatic charge image developing toner excellent in solidifying property and fixability by forming core particles by suspension polymerization, coating a certain proportion or more of the surfaces of the core particles with emulsified fine particles and carrying out heating under specified conditions.
SOLUTION: An aqueous dispersion of fine particles prepared by emulsion polymerization is added to polymer particles formed by suspension polymerization and they are heated at the glass transition temperature of the polymer particles or above to coat ≥95% of the surfaces of the polymer particles with the fine particles. The objective toner whose surface is substantially free from projections is obtained.
