Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrostatic charge image developing toner of superior fluidity, having a uniform electric charge distribution and little environmental dependence, less liable to release an external additive, not causing contamination of carrier and triboelectric charging member, less liable to reduce the quantity of electric charges, when it is left standing and giving a stable image.
SOLUTION: The electrostatic charge image developing toner contains hydrophobic titanium dioxide having rutile type titanium dioxide and anatase type titanium dioxide within the same particles and having a treated layer surface- treated with a silane coupling agent as an external additive. The mass ratio between the rutile type titanium dioxide and the anatase type titanium dioxide is in the range of (2:98) to (45:55).
