Abstract:

To provide an electrostatic coating device that prevents the generation of a high voltage in a place where there is no worker due to erroneous connection of cables between an electrostatic coating spray gun and an electrostatic controller and allows safe and sure execution of electrostatic coating.

The electrostatic coating device 1 comprises: an electrostatic coating spray gun 2 that sprays electrically-charged paint so as to coat the paint on an object W to be coated; and a control device 3. The spray gun 2 has a trigger 7 and a high-voltage generating circuit 4. The control device 3 has an air-flow switch 22 that is ON-operated based on circulation of spraying air in an air hose 13. The control device 3 supplies power to the high-voltage generating circuit 4 via a power-supply cable 32 based on operation of the trigger 7 and the ON-operation of the air-flow switch 22.
