To provide an electrostatic dust collector capable of realizing reduction in cost and size of its constituent high-voltage electric source circuit.
The electrostatic dust collector includes: a charging section 3 formed by laminating and arranging discharge electrodes 1 and ground electrodes 2 one upon another in parallel with the direction of air flow and charging suspended particulate matter in air; a dust collection section 6 formed by laminating and arranging high-voltage application electrode plates 4 and ground electrode plates 5 one upon another in parallel with the direction of air flow and collecting the suspended particulate matter in the air charged in the charging section 3; and a high-voltage application means which applies a high voltage to the charging section 3 and the dust collection section 6, wherein the high-voltage application means includes a single high-voltage electric source 7.
