Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a high quality inexpensive electrostatic dust collector, by providing insulators integrated with the support parts of an ionization wire in both end peripheries of the ionization wire so as to surround the same.
CONSTITUTION: When insulators 15 are provided in both end peripheries of an ionization wire 11 so as to surround the same, an electric field is weakened and corona discharge is prevented. Therefore, because dust charged by the ionization wire 11 and an opposed electrode 12 is not adhered to the parts where a dust collection electrode 13 and an acceleration electrode 14 are contacted with a body 16, the insulation of the support part of each electrode is held and life is kept for a long time.
