Abstract:
PURPOSE: To realize an electrostatic latent image developing device capable of obtaining an extremely satisfactorily visible image by means of a non-contact liquid development system.
CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a developing roller 2 having a smooth periphery, arranged closely proximately to the surface of a latent image carrier 1 with a development gap as between in the prescribed development part, and rotating in the prescribed direction while holding liquid developer 3 on its periphery, thereby supplying the held liquid developer to the developing part; developer supply 4a and 7 supplying the liquid developer 3 to the periphery of the developing roller 2, and a squeeze roller 6 removing an excess of the liquid developer from a layer of the liquid developer supplied to the developing roller 2 by the developer supply means, and forming a liquid phase developer film thinner than the development gap on the periphery of the developing roller 2.
