Title:
ELECTROSTATIC LATENT IMAGE DEVELOPING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002333740
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a developing method which improves a quality related to the directionality of development which means that the developing sleeve is more rapid than the moving velocity of electrostatic latent image and an abnormal picture quality.

This electrostatic latent image developing method is a two- component developing method in which the linear velocity ratio of photoreceptor velocity Vp and developing sleeve velocity Vr is 1.2<Vr/Vp<3 and direct current bias VB is applied and, therein, features that a distance of the most approximate part (developing gap Gp) between the photoreceptor and the developing sleeve is ≤0.6 mm, the density ρp of a developer on the most approximate part which is represented as ρp=J/Gp [g/cm3] is ρp/ρa<0.7 when bulk density of the used developer is ρa, and the carriers for electrophotography in which the core material thereof has weight average particle size of ≥25 μm and ≤45 μm, the particles which are smaller than 44 μm is ≥70 wt.%, the particles which are smaller than 22 μm is ≤7 wt.% and the ratio of weight average particle size Dv and number average particle size Dp is 1≤Dv/Dp≤1.30 and the surface of the core material is coated with resin are used.
