PURPOSE: To improve the quality of a recording figure by forming ventilating holes on the part opposed to the basic paper of an electrostatic recording paper in the recording paper guides arranged between a recording paper roll holder and an electrostatic recording head.

CONSTITUTION: An electrostatic recording paper 7 driven out from a recording paper roll 6 held on a holder 5 is inserted between a feed roller 8 and a pinch roller 9 and guided into between a platen roller 10 and an electrostatic recording head 11. While, the recording paper guides 12 and 13 whose one side is bent are arranged between the holder 5 and the electrostatic recording head 11. On the upper recording paper guide 12, ventilating holes 17 consisting of a number of circular holes 17a drilled on the part faced to a paper transport passage 14 are formed. Therefore, the air between the recording paper guides 12 and 13 is exchanged with the outside air through the ventilating holes 17, and the recording figure which, has high quality and is free from the uneveness of light and shade can be obtained.
