To enable the screening of the particles having the size which had been considered to be difficult to screen, to enable metal separation with low voltage in the voltage applied to a corona generating electrode and to enable the dispose place of the corona generating electrode to always adjust and hold at the most suitable place.
In the separation device, a cord-like corona generating electrode 1 in which many electrode projecting parts 1B are formed at the side surface by twisting plural Nichrome(R) wires 1A is provided, and the corona generating electrode 1 is disposed opposite to a longitudinal side surface of the drum electrode. A bracket 4 for holding the corona generating electrode 1 and an induction electrode 3 in parallel is provided and the interval between the corona generating electrode 1 and the induction electrode 3 for the drum electrode is adjusted with the bracket 4.
