To provide an electrostatic separation device capable of improving separation precision.
The electrostatic separation device comprises: a drum electrode 4 which is grounded, has a surface cylindrically formed and is rotated; and first and second ion generation means 6, 7 which are arranged on two places, on the upper positions of the drum electrode 4 and along the rotation direction (b) and can generate corona ions K, wherein the first ion generation means 6 arranged on the upstream side of the rotation direction (b) is constituted with a plurality of first needle electrodes 23 arranged at prescribed intervals in parallel to the rotation shaft center (a) of the drum electrode 4, the disposition direction of a second needle electrode 26 in the ion generation means 7 is set at an arbitrary angle between a tangent and a normal on a surface position of the drum electrode 4 corresponding to the second needle electrode 26 and, further, an inactive gas is supplied such that the corona ions K move along the rotation direction (b) of the drum electrode 4.
