To provide an electrostatic sorter in which sorting performance degradation is prevented.
The electrostatic sorter has a drum electrode 1 which is grounded, cylindrical and rotatable, an ion generating means 2 provided at the upper position of the downward rotary side of the drum electrode, and an electrostatic field generating means 3 placed at the lower part side of a rotating direction from the ion generating means. The ion generating means 2 consists of a box-shaped container 11 which is provided at a position opposed to the surface of the drum electrode 1, and has many opening holes 11a formed at a bottom wall part, a needle electrode 12 placed at the upper wall part of the box-shaped container 11, and an air supply pipe 15 for supplying air in the box shape-container 11 to blow ions generated between the drum electrode 1 and the needle electrode 12 from an opening hole 11a to the drum electrode 1 side.
