This electroviscous fluid device comprises a housing body which can house a fluid, a pair of electrodes which have flexibility and are arranged so as to be opposed to each other in the housing body, and the electroviscous fluid which is sealed in the housing body and arranged between the pair of electrodes to change its elastic characteristic depending on the electric field between the electrodes. By applying the electroviscous fluid device to various electronic apparatuses, it is possible to electrically control the hardness, tension, hand feeling, a shape, etc. of each apparatus.
