Abstract:
To provide particles for an electroviscous fluid which has a sufficiently low viscosity when no electric field is applied and it is used as an electroviscous fluid, and exhibits a high ER effect.SOLUTION: Particles for an electroviscous fluid of the present invention comprises a polymer containing a sulfonic acid group. The content of a sulfonic group of the particles is 30 wt.% or more. The content of chlorine atoms of the particles is 100 ppm or larger and 5000 ppm or lower.SELECTED DRAWING: None
