Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the title fluid which generates large shear stress and is excellent in current characteristics and stability by mixing a dispersed phase comprising dielectric particles with a dispersion medium comprising an insulated liquid and an additive comprising a complex of a specified composition.
CONSTITUTION: A composite is prepared by compositing particles insoluble in the below-mentioned insulating liquid with a polysiloxane-containing polymer comprising polysiloxane-containing structural units of formula I wherein A is -COO- or phenylene; R1 is H or methyl; R2 is 1-6C alkylene; and R3 to R13 are each aryl, 1-6C alkyl, etc., and structural units containing a dispersed-phase- adsorbing chain and selected from formulas II, III and IV wherein B and E are each -COO- or phenylene; R14, R17 and R19 are each H or methyl; R15 is 2-4C alkylene; R16 and R19 are each hydrogen or alkyl; R20 is 6-30C alkyl; and D is formula V, formula VI or -CN, etc. This composite is mixed with a dispersed phase comprising dielectric particles and a dispersion medium comprising an insulating liquid.
