To provide an element for forming a barrier rib and a manufacturing method thereof, which can reduce manufacturing processes of the barrier rib for a plasma display panel, and can form the barrier rib having an excellent shape.
An element for forming a barrier rib has a resin composition layer for forming the barrier rib on a substrate film, and a base is provided with two or more relief patterns capable of removing, wherein the element for forming a barrier rib is laminated so that the resin composition layer for forming the barrier rib is contacted with the base. Next, the resin composition layer for forming the barrier rib is embedded in gaps of the two or more relief patterns. And the relief patterns are removed thereafter, and a pattern composed of the resin composition layer for forming the barrier rib is formed on the base, and the pattern is calcined.
