To provide an element towing method which facilitates positioning of elements.
The element towing method is carried out in order to construct a tunnel, by towing the number of square cross-sectional elements from a starting location, sequentially penetrating the elements in the ground, and arranging the same along a contour of the tunnel. According to the method, a starting truck 25 which has the element loaded thereon and is transversely movable is set at the starting location of the elements 1, and the elements to be towed are loaded on the starting truck which is then positioned, whereby the elements are correctly introduced to a location to be towed. Then, the elements, are guided in a towing direction by the starting truck and towed. The starting truck located at the starting location, can travel on a track 24 laid along an element arrangement direction, and allows the elements to be loaded on an upper surface of the starting truck in the towing direction. Further, the truck comprises a guide mechanism for guiding the truck in the element towing direction. Furthermore, the starting truck has a blade device 33 mounted thereon.
