To efficiently extinguish a fire by mounting a fire extinguisher container, a remote control device, and gas cylinders on a moving vehicle traveled along an elevated rail installed in the space of a fire protection object such as a plant facility or a large factory, and controlling the remote control device with a ground station.
When a fire is detected and inputted to a disaster preventing CPU, the occurrence position and procedures are displayed on a display. A monitoring person instructs a moving vehicle 2 to go to the fire occurrence point through the shortest route while viewing the display and instructs whether the moving vehicle 2 is moved along an elevated monorail 1 and whether a monitor nozzle 9 or a fire extinguisher feed joint 10 is used. These instructions are transmitted to the remote control device 12 of the moving vehicle 2 via a ground station. The pressurized nitrogen gas in nitrogen cylinders 8 is fed into a powder fire extinguisher container 7 pressurized to the prescribed pressure at the fire point, and the powder fire extinguisher is discharged to a fire source from the fire extinguishing monitor nozzle 9.
