Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent steps from interfering with the ground surface by forcing links to make their downward turning movement by means of an elevating cylinder when a person gets on/off the steps, forming lower and intermediate steps into a step shape by lowering them and pulling the lower and intermediate steps up to the floor surface during run.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of upper and lower links 8, 9 are journalled to a fixed frame 4 side so as to be vertically rotatable, and an intermediate step 12 in the horizontal state is journalled between the links 8, 9 through an intermediate stage bracket 10. Moreover a lower step 15 in the horizontal state is journalled to the tips of the links 8, 9 through a lower stage bracket 13. When the links 8, 9 are forced to make their downward turning movement by operating the elevating cylinder 19 provided between the fixed frame 4 side and the link 9 side, the intermediate stage and lower stage steps 12, 15 are lowered, thereby respective steps 15, 12, 5 on the lower stage, the intermediate stage and the upperstage are formed into a step shape. When the links 8, 9 are forced to make their upward turning movement by operating the elevating cylinder 19 in traveling, the lower stage and intermediate stage steps 15, 12 are raised to the position of the upper stage step 5 so as to be prevented from interfering with the ground surface.
