To provide an elevating window device for railroad rolling stock capable of minutely adjusting twist and turn force of a spiral spring of a balancer mechanism by rotation angle per 90 degrees, simplifying a constituent part of the balancer mechanism, and reducing manufacturing cost.
This elevating window device for railroad rolling stock is constituted in such a way that upper end parts of two spiral spring type balancer mechanisms 7a arranged along left and right longitudinal frames 5a are connected with a longitudinal frame 5a side and lower end parts thereof are connected with an elevating window shoji 6a side through upper part and lower part connection parts 8a, 9a, respectively. The upper part connection part 8a can be removably locked by a screw 25a and a lock nut 25b communicating with a screw hole 26a drilled in the vertical frame 5a and a series of two sets of screw holes 26b drilled in the balancer mechanisms 7a by crossing orthogonally and mutually. The screw hole 26b of the balancer mechanism 7a is constituted so as to rotate by an angle of 90 degrees to adjust spring pressure by inserting and locking a screwdriver.
