Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an elevator apparatus preferable for rescuing residents in a multistoried building even if doorways of the multistoried building are shut when a disaster has happened.
CONSTITUTION: A rescue outlet 9 set to a sufficient size for men going in and out is provided in the side of a lift path facing the outside of a building and provided with a rescue door 10 capable of being opened and closed only in an emerganvy, while a running device in a disaster is disposed near the rescue door 10 to run a riding cage 3 after a normal running device for the riding cage 3 is opened.
