This elevator car has a cage room 1, an emergency equipment storage box 6 arranged in the car room and storing emergency equipment 8 to 11 including a cellular phone, an opening-closing cover 12 openably-closably arranged in a front opening part of the emergency equipment storage box, blocked up at ordinary time and opened by being released in an emergency, a radio wave transmitting opening part 14 arranged in a part on the hoistway side of the emergency equipment storage box, and a radio wave transmitting body 15 arranged to cover the radio wave transmitting opening part and formed of a radio wave transmitting material.
