PURPOSE: To allow a single workman to assemble an elevator car by furnishing a baseboard with the first fit part to admit insertion of a notched part formed at the bottom of each side plate.
CONSTITUTION: At the bottom of a side plate 6a a notched part 16 is formed, which is inserted to the first fit part 14 furnished on a baseboard 11 and also to the second fit part 15 provided as penetrating a lower frame 12 and cage floor 13. The notched part 16 is fastened to the baseboard 11 by a bolt 17 and secured to the cage floor 13. In the same fashion, side plates 6a are mounted upright at three sides of the cage floor 13 so that an intended elevator car is assembled. Thus the side plates 6a are held stationarily and secured to respective bolts 17 as fastening means by inserting the notched parts 16 furnished at the bottoms of the side plates 6a to the first and second fit parts 14, 15, so that a single workman can perform assembly works for elevator car including installing the side plates 6a upright.
