To provide an elevator device simply formed, generally reduced in size, and capable of efficiently cooling a drive device installed at the top of a hoistway.
This elevator device comprises an elastic member 8 fitted to a hoistway fixing body, a drive device 9 disposed at the top of the hoistway 1 and supported on the hoistway fixing body through the elastic body 8, a discharge side duct which is fitted to the drive device 9 and one side opening of which is opposed to the drive device 9, a suction side duct which is fitted to the hoistway fixing body, one side opening of which is so connected to the other side opening of the discharge side duct as to be vertically displaceable relative to the discharge side duct, and the other side opening of which is disposed on the lower side of the one side opening, and a fan 23 device installed on one of the discharge side duct and the suction side duct. The air in the hoistway 1 is sucked from the other side opening of the suction side duct, and discharged from the one side opening of the discharge side duct.
