Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator guide device which can easily detect a state of the wear of a guide shoe without positively breaking a constituent of wear detection means, and an elevator using the same.SOLUTION: An elevator guide device comprises a guide shoe which is attached to a support part provided on a cage side, and a detection part which detects that a wear amount of the guide shoe exceeds an allowable amount. The detection part is a different body different from the guide shoe, attached to the support part, and arranged so as to oppose guide rails via a gap between the guide rails, and the allowable amount which is detected by the detection part is set according to a magnitude of the gap in an initial state before the guide shoe is worn.
