Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent oil from scattering onto the walls of an elevator passage by attaching an oil trap below a lower guide shoe in the lower part of a cage so as to receive drips of lubrication oil fed between a guide rail and guide shoes. CONSTITUTION:Oil traps 14 are secured to a cage lower beam 5 through the intermediary of brackets 15 below right and left lower shoes 10 in the lower part of a cage 13. Each oil trap 14 is formed therein a recess which prevents the oil trap 14 from making contact with the associated guide rail 8, having a rectangular pan shape so as to cover the associated guide shoe 10. Liquid oil fed to the sliding surfaces of the guide rails 8 and the upper guide shoe 9 by an oil feed device 11 is trapped by the upper and lower guide shoes 9 above and below the cage 13, and is dripped from the projections around the lower guide shoes 10. The dripped oil 12 are trapped and pooled in the oil traps 14. Accordingly, no dripped oil 12 scatters, thereby it is possible to prevent the walls of the elevator passage from being dirty.
