Abstract:

To provide a reliable elevator safety braking device with a high coefficient of friction and low abrasion for use in a high speed-high load elevator.

An elevator safety braking device comprises a base, a frictional surface arranged thereon which is in contact with an elevator guide rail, and a brake shoe 26 equipped with the base At least one part of the frictional surface includes a coating, which is attained by spraying nickel-chromium alloy particles and tungsten carbide particles onto the base, and fusing the sprayed mixed material.
