Abstract:
To provide a protective device for a balance device for an elevator which is able to prevent a malfunction of the balance device during replacement of the main rope of the elevator.SOLUTION: A protective device for a balance device for an elevator comprises a protective part that, when an upper frame of a car of the elevator is suspended with a rope to hold the car, covers the balance device provided on the upper frame and prevents contact with the rope, resulting in contact of the rope with the balance device. By virtue of the protective device, a malfunction of the balance device can be prevented during replacement of the main rope of the elevator.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
