Abstract:
To absorb a shock received by a car from a floor of a hoistway without providing a buffer below a bottom surface of the car.
An elevator system includes a cab elevated in a hoistway. The elevator system also includes a shock absorbing part which is disposed outside the side face of the cab, protrudes upward from an upper end of the cab and protrudes downward from a lower end of the cab, and absorbs a shock received from a ceiling or a floor of the hoistway.
