Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine-room-less type elevator system which allows reduction of the overhead dimension above the car, requires no bending sheave and also allows improvement of the system efficiency.SOLUTION: In an elevator system, a car 12 and a balance weight 13 in a hoistway 11 are driven so as to move up and down mutually through a main rope wound around the main sheave of a hoist 14. The hoist 14 is flat and is arranged obliquely at a position within a projected space, in the projection from above, between one side surface of the car 12 and the inner wall 11c of the hoistway 11 and close to the back surface of the car 12. One radial-direction end of the car sheave 20 wound with the main rope is located, in the projection from above, close to one radial-direction end 14a of the main sheave in the projection space. The balance weight 13 is arranged liftably in a space between the back surface of the car 12 and the inner wall 11b of the hoistway, and the balance weight sheave 21 wound with the main rope is located, in the projection from above on one radial-direction end, close to the other radial-direction end 14b of the main sheave.
