Abstract:
Provided are: a foreign matter removal device of the threshold of an elevator, the device making it possible to remove foreign matter at the threshold; and an elevator. A foreign matter removal device (9) of an elevator (1), the device (9) comprising a guidance member (12). The guidance member (12) is positioned, in a threshold groove (7) in a threshold (5) of a door (2) of the elevator (1), at a doorstop (8)-side end part of the door (2). The guidance member (12) is capable of moving vertically. When the door (2) is fully closed, the upper-end section of the guidance member (12) is located lower than a first height (H). The first height (H) is the height of the lower end of a door panel (4). Between the upper-end section of the guidance member (12), which is located higher than the first height (H) before the door (2) is fully closed, and the doorstop (8)-side end part of the door panel (4), the guidance member (12) guides foreign matter in a first direction (D) when the door (2) closes, the foreign matter being pushed by the door panel (4) to move. The first direction (D) forms an acute angle with respect to the direction in which the door (2) closes.
