This elevator type parking device comprises an elevator cage supporting a vehicle and moving up and down along a guide member, a locking device, stopping the elevator cage at a specified position by locking a hook to a fixed part of a building by extending the hook to the outside, provided on a guide frame 9 of the elevator cage, a hydraulic pressurizing device 34 driven by the gravity when the elevator cage is lowered to deliver pressure oil, a hydraulic accumulator 42 accumulating the pressure of the pressure oil from the hydraulic pressurizing device 34, and a hydraulic circuit 38 feeding the pressure oil in the hydraulic accumulator 42 to drive devices 11, 16, and 29 of the elevator cage through a pressure oil feeding line 41 having a switching valve 43.
