The elongated-material stacking apparatus 10 stacks small bundles B of elongated materials supplied from a supply mechanism 11 on the loading block 12 and transfers a group of the stacked small bundles B to a conveyance mechanism 14 to convey them. When receiving a small bundle B supplied from the supply mechanism 11 on the loading block 12 or on the other small bundle B which has been already placed on the loading block 12, the loading block 12 is lifted up or down by a lift mechanism 13 so that the top face of the loading block 12 or the top face of the small bundle B already placed on the loading block 12 is positioned at a certain reception height H.
