Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elongator rolling method that can effectively prevent both a pipe tip break and inner and outer face waviness in the tube barrel body part.SOLUTION: A path line 4c that is the center of the mutual interval between left and right drive rollers 4, 4is shifted to either side of left and right from a pressure roll center 2c that is a vertical line passing through the centers in the roll axis direction of upper and lower pressure rolls 2, 2. A roll revolution number difference ΔN defined by ΔN=N1-N2 (where, N1, N2 are the respective roll revolution numbers [rpm] of a pressure roll where the path line side with respect to the pressure roll center becomes the bite-out side and the remaining roll) is set to be a positive value to start metal rolling, and the ΔN is changed into a value of zero or less at a point of time when 2-8 seconds elapse from the rolling start to be maintained to the rolling finish.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
