To provide a fuel original unit deterioration factor clarification device in a heating furnace capable of early finding the fact that which equipment with a deterioration tendency in a heating furnace gives an influence on a fuel original unit as a result, and a clarification method therefor.SOLUTION: A fuel original unit deterioration factor clarification device 20 comprises: an original unit monitor part 21 monitoring the fuel original unit in a heating furnace 1 per prescribed period; an item monitor part 22, regarding each of the plurality of items to be investigated by heat balance, performing monitoring per prescribed period same as the prescribed period; an original unit deterioration period calculation part 23 calculating the deterioration period of the monitored fuel original unit; an item deterioration period calculation part 24 calculating the respective deterioration periods of the monitored plurality of items to be investigated by heat balance; and a deterioration factor determination part 25 determining the item to be investigated by heat balance in the deterioration period overlapped with the deterioration period of the fuel original unit calculated by the original unit deterioration period calculation part 23, in the respective deterioration periods of the plurality of items to be investigated by heat balance calculated by the item deterioration period calculation part 24, as a fuel original unit deterioration factor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
