To provide an electronic mail browsing apparatus capable of efficiently retrieving mail read in the past.
An electronic mail browsing apparatus 10 is provided with a mail storing part 100 having a browsing diary recording field 110 for recording at least one of the browsing dates of the electronic mail, a mail browsing part 300 for recording the browsing date in the browsing diary recording field corresponding to the electronic mail when browsing the electronic mail, a retrieval browsing date acquiring part 400 for acquiring the date designated as a retrieval key and a browsing date retrieving part 500 for calculating a difference between the browsing date which is the closest to the date designated as the retrieval key among the dates in the browsing diary recording field and the date designated as the retrieval key, and for acquiring the retrieval result on the basis of the difference with respect to each electronic mail. Thus, it is possible to record the browsing date of each mail, and to retrieve the mail on the basis of this result.
