PURPOSE: To enhance the strength of an embankment by burying a plate like concrete block as core material in the embankment.

CONSTITUTION: In embankntent reinforcing structure, a ditch 2 is provided at the center of an embankment 1, and a plate like concrete block 3 is buried in the ditch 2. As to the concrete block 3, the concrete block 3 previously formed into plate shape is fitted and buried in the ditch 2 formed in the embankment 1, or concrete material (ready-mixed concrete) may be filled in the ditch 2 and hardened to form a plate like concrete block 3'. The strength of the embankment can be thereby enhanced by the concrete block 3 or 3' serving as the core.
