To provide an embossed stainless steel sheet in which scratches and stains are hardly caused and the cleaning of which is easy in the stainless steel sheet to which embossing for forming a plurality of fine projecting parts on the surface is applied.
In the stainless steel sheet 5 to which the embossing for forming the plurality of the fine projecting parts 7 on the surface 6 is applied, the projecting part 7 is formed into a shape such that the base shape and the top part shape have nearly similar shapes, the top part 8 is formed into an approximately flat surface and also an inclined part 9 in which the similar shape is gradually enlarged from the top part 8 to the base is formed. When the distance (a) from the center α of a projecting part 7 to the center α' of a projecting part 7 arranged next to it is expressed by 1x, the length b of the base is 0.4-0.8x, the height c of the top part 8 is 0.01-0.03x and the length d of the top part 8 is 0.2-0.4x.
