PURPOSE: To easily understand the position and kind of data by changing indicating forms of a cursor in accordance with characteristics and kinds of data when displaying the data to be instructed to an embroidery machine and displaying the cursor showing the data.

CONSTITUTION: An embroidery data processor processing the data to be instructed to an embroidery machine is provided with a data display 20 display the data or the like and it makes and corrects new data while showing the data. When correcting data, a cursor 50 indicating the data is also displayed. That is, the data display 20 is provided with at least a constoller 21 and an display 22. A keyboard 23, FDD 24, a mouse 25, etc., are connected to the controller 21. In this case, the displaying mode of the cursor 50 is changed in accordance with the characteristics and kinds of data which is indicated by the cursor in the indicator 22. The form, color, generating sound, etc., of the cursor 50 are changed for instance.
