Title:
EMBROIDERY AND METHOD FOR FORMING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3826349
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the stability of a product and reduce the production cost in an embroidery.
SOLUTION: The embroidery is obtained by three-dimensionally embroidering letters, etc., on one planar part in a sheetlike substrate 10. A method for forming the embroidery comprises placing a sheet material 18 on the top surface of a sheetlike auxiliary substrate 16, placing a sheetlike substrate 10 on the top surface of the sheet material 18 and further placing a thermally meltable sheet material 20 on the top surface of the sheetlike substrate 10. The letters, etc., are embroidered with each needle thread 12 from the top surface of the sheetlike laminate 22 in which the materials 10, 16, 18 and 20 are laminated, respectively, and entangled with each bobbin thread 14 on the undersurface of the sheetlike auxiliary substrate 16. The thermally meltable sheet material 20 is then melted to fuse the needle threads 12 to the sheetlike substrate 10. The needle thread 12 present between the sheetlike auxiliary substrate 16 and the sheet material 18 is cut along the joining surface of the sheetlike auxiliary substrate 16 and the sheet material 18. Furthermore, the sheet material 18 is removed to thereby form the three-dimensional embroidery on the surface of the sheetlike substrate 10.
