To provide a method for economically and reasonably conducting emergency call connections to police stations or fire stations, in response to increase in facilities by new digital communication methods and increase in the number of subscribers by conventional digital communication methods, and an apparatus for this method.

An emergency call (such as #110 or #119) is converted into a particular subscriber number for conducting switching connection. An emergency call connection device of this invention is connected to a terminal of the particular subscriber number at a reception side exchange. The emergency call connection device comprises a first interface for connection to the terminal, a second interface for connection to an emergency attendant board provided at police stations and fire stations, and a control unit for conducting relay connection between the two interfaces.
