Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable an escape in emergency onto the safe ice apart from a ship in the frozen sea by a method wherein a pile for sliding a rope supporter is shot from the board of the ship onto the target ice and fixed therein, the rope supporter is slided by a which and fixed in the ice, and then an escape capsule is transported.

CONSTITUTION: A shooting device 8 is directed to the target ice 25 and a pile 9 is shot therefrom onto the ice 25 so that it may stick firmly thereinto. Then, power is exploded by a remote operation to discharge the main body 14 of the pile from a vessel 15. Thereby the main body 14 is made to stick more deeply into the ice. Next, a rope 10 is stretched by a winch, and the main body 14 is fixed further firmly. Then, a sliding block 24 of a rope supporter 6 is erected and hung on a rope 10, while a rope 12 is connected to the supporter, and the winch is made free. The rope supporter 6 is separated therefrom and slided onto the ice 25. Then, it is fixed into the ice 25 and the rope 12 is stretched. Next, a sliding block 23 of a capsule 5 is erected and hung on the rope 12. When crew- members get into the capsule 5, it is separated and slided onto the ice 25, and thus the crew-members are enabled to escape.
