Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alleviate disk flutter by providing a shroud which may be fitted later to a magnetic disk apparatus.
SOLUTION: A shroud 100 is provided as a part to be fitted later to a housing in such a manner as surrounding a part 94 of the angular range of the disk periphery along the relevant disk periphery attached rotatable to the relevant housing of a magnetic disk apparatus. Moreover, there is provided a magnetic disk apparatus having the shroud 100. Moreover, there is provided a new assembling method conforming to the new assembling sequence fitted to later provision of shroud as a method of manufacturing a magnetic disk apparatus. Use of shroud 100 enables control of disk flutter due to disturbance from the point of view of hydrodynamics and also improves track positioning accuracy.
