To provide an emergency shutdown valve easily fitted to an existing pipeline by providing a valve case with a fluid pressure takeoff part to a pressure chamber of a cylinder, and connecting the luid pressure takeoff part to the pressure chamber by a pilot line.

In an emergency shutdown valve, a valve element is provided at a valve stem 2 horizontally piercing a valve case 1, and a valve element resetting device is provided on one side of the valve stem 2 protruded from the valve case 1, while a cutoff device 5 is provided on the other side of the valve stem 2. Both side openings of the valve case 1 are connected to a fluid pipeline.
