Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency shutoff valve which allows easy checking of the number of throttle holes from the outside at the time of inspecting the products completed and permits instantly whether the rate of valve closing flow meets the specifications.
SOLUTION: The base 9A of a spherical valve holding member 9 is fitted in one-end opening of a through hole 6 and secured to a valve body 1, and has an inner wall 9E to block the through hole 6 in such a way as intersecting its axis, and the inner wall 9E is equipped with throttle holes 13A,...13D penetrating in the axial direction and generating communication from one-end opening of the through hole 6 to a ring-shaped gap 12. Thereby the number of throttle holes 13A,...13D can be easily checked from the outside through one-end opening of the through hole 6.
